The Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center

About a week ago I was able to stop by The Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center on Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  It is not far from the Hatteras Light House.  If you are in the area it is well worth it.  They have a fantastic collection but it does lack slightly in the information department.
The woman working at the museum did tell me that the Croatoa Indians that lived in the Outer Banks lived in a wooded area.  When the Europeans landed they cut the trees down that were holding the sand islands together shrinking them to the point that the natives fled to the main land and merged with The Lumbee Tribe.
